Welcome to AP Human Geography

The AP Human Geography course is equivalent to an introductory college-level course in human geography. The course introduces students to the systematic study of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, use, and alteration of Earth’s surface. Students employ spatial concepts and landscape analysis to examine the socioeconomic organization and its environmental consequences. They also learn about the methods and tools geographers use in their research and applications. The curriculum reflects the goals of the National Geography Standard Class.

Here you will find the PowerPoints for the class. It is an expectation that you will have viewed and taken notes on each of these BEFORE each day of class. In class, it is expected that you will be familiar with the topics and have the ability to discuss the given information. We will not wait for you to write because you failed to do your job. This is an Advanced Placement class, and you will be treated as such.
